Which version of Build!IT can I run with my dongle?

To find out which version the dongle enables, plug your dongle into your computer and open Build!IT. In the menu bar, click Help and then click About Build!IT. The first two digits of the License number (in the example below, 32) stand for the latest version the dongle can enable (v3.2 in the example). It can enable any version beginning with those digits and any previous versions as early as v3.0.

How do I update my dongle license for Build!IT V3?

Close Build!IT

Open the email you received from BuildIT which contains your license information.

Run the BuildIT License Utility:
Start > Programs > Build!IT 3.X > License Utility.

Attach only the 1st license usb dongle (S/N 112###) to your computer.

(Please unplug any dongles you are not currently updating)

COPY & PASTE the first line of your Update Code into the Update License input box.

(It is very important that you copy and paste only one line at a time)

Click the Update License button.

If you have more than one line of code per license:
Repeat steps #5 and #6 with each of the lines of code, one line at a time

If you have more than one license to update:
Repeat steps #4-7 with the next license number.

Congratulations! You have successfully updated your Build!IT license!

(Please unplug any dongles you are not currently updating)

Click the Update License button.

Can I run Build!IT v2.3.3 in Windows 7?

Yes. Simply right-click on the setup file and choose Run as administrator.
