Job Description

BuildIT, an engineering software and services company, is looking for an Application Engineer. This role involves the technical and sales support of solutions, comprised of software and services, to resolve complex business and engineering problems. The ideal candidate will be innovative and entrepreneurial, have experience in metrology and/or a degree in mechanical engineering.  Experience in CAD, 3D graphics, and reverse engineering is a definite plus.

Key Responsibilities:

The application engineer will be responsible and accountable for a wide range of activities, including:

  • Providing technical support for our customers
  • Writing functional specifications for the development of new features
  • Conducting software testing
  • Evaluating customer’s processes and demonstrating our products
  • Assisting with international business development
  • Representing the company at trade shows and events
  • Providing training on metrology and the software’s usage

Required Skills:

  • Essential: An engineering degree
  • Essential: A mechanical engineering or manufacturing background
  • Essential: Fully proficient in English and French
  • Essential: Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Essential: Willingness and availability to travel
  • Asset: Experience with CAD applications
  • Asset: Experience with manufacturing or engineering software
  • Asset: Knowledge of metrology and quality control systems
  • Asset: Interaction with customers on a technical level
